Lena Norrman receives CLA Outstanding Service Award

Swedish lecturer Lena Norrman has received an Outstanding Service Award from the College of Liberal Arts for her dedication to teaching, service, and research. Her book, Viking Women: The Narrative Voice in Woven Tapestries, was published by Cambria Press in fall 2008.

Tim continues as assistant professor of foreign languages and literatures at Valparaiso University (Indiana) and has forthcoming publications on Günter Grass.

Evelyn Meyer (Ph.D. Germanic Medieval Studies, 2003)

She was awarded a Mellon Summer Grant from St. Louis University (Missouri) for research at the Munich Bayrische Staatsbibliothek.

Lorna Sopcak (Ph.D. German, 1999)

She earned tenure and promotion at Ripon College (Wisconsin).

Sydney Norton (Ph.D., German 1998)

She coauthored the exhibition catalogue The Immediate Touch: German, Austrian, and Swiss Drawings from Stain Louis Collections 1946-2007, published by the St. Louis Art Museum (2008).

Rasma Lazda (Ph.D., German, 1996)

She earned tenure and promotion at the University of Alabama, Birmingham.

Helga Thorson (Ph.D., German, 1996)

She is an associate professor at the University of Victoria (Canada).
